Let’s face the honest and brutal facts. When the average young man joins the military he is about a hop, skip, and a jump past puberty and facial hair has not been a factor. Now, I’m not talking about the semi-mustache you grew in 8th grade and of which you were overly proud. I’m talking man hair here. Full grown kick ass beards that scream part Viking is the stuff of which we speak. Sadly, unless you were some special operator you likely didn’t get a chance to grow a beard in the military but now that you are a veteran it’s your time. But before you go down the grizzly path let us cover a few basics.
Biology simply can’t be argued with and when a woman sees a man rocking a fully groomed beard it screams provider. It screams lover. It screams man. Trust me when I say they might talk down your beard to their family at the Thanksgiving table but when it really counts the beard gets it done. Scientific fact, I looked it up.
We are not talking length here as you can grow your beard as long as you like, but grooming is necessary regardless of length. There will be no Gunny yelling at you in civilian life because your mustache has grown past the corners of your mouth. This one is going to be on you fellas so do the rest of the beard loving universe a solid and keep it looking clean. Heck, I’ll give you some free beard oil samples to get you started.
The truth is that you might feel a little awkward stroking your beard like you are trying to show off. Nothing can be further from the truth. Let the man who can’t grow a beard take care of himself. You can and you earned the right to play with yourself in public. Beard that is, keep it to the beard fellas.
From soaps, balms, and oils a quality product matters. Just go take a look at what our customers say about our products here and see why they keep coming back. Trying to grow a full beard sans product is just madness and screams that you live in a van down by the river. If you are going to do this beard thing do it right my friends.
When you strut about town in your man beard you feel like a hero. When you shave it off for the first time you feel like you are back in Junior High. So for all the post-military veterans out there if you are going to do this thing I say go all in. Commit to the lifestyle, commit to keeping it clean, and if you literally can’t grow a beard don’t worry darling, it will happen someday.
